Goldman Faces New Legal Woes

Goldman Sachs’s mortgage woes are far from over.

In 2010, the Wall Street investment bank paid $550 million to settle a civil fraud suit brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission. The S.E.C. accused Goldman of creating a mortgage product called Abacus 2007-AC1 that was intended to fail.
